Finally, in May 2017, I was prescribed oral terbinafine, 250mg per day for 3 months. I went through a single blood test before beginning the prescription, and my liver function was normal at that time.

Before oral terbinafine, fungus was visibly affecting all 10 of my toenails. After 3 months of terbinafine, it cleared up on 9 nails, but one of my big toenails still had a little discolored spot on it, near the cuticle. I wanted to stay on terbinafine since I had no side effects, but my podiatrist at the time said I was “probably cured” and wouldn’t prescribe any more pills.
